Our Story
DACA Promotes the use of law to facilitate recovery, not punish the user, with an emphasis on early intervention and drug-use exiting processes as the priority.
We are a group dedicated to assisting the public to find up-to-date, objective, well-researched information, that you can trust.
DACA believes that:
- the seriousness of our drug-abuse problem necessitates urgent and sustained efforts to educate, restrict, proscribe and treat drug users;
- there is overwhelming scientific evidence that marijuana should be regarded and treated as a dangerous and harmful drug;
- that evidence from the families of users of the destructiveness of marijuana use has been ignored or under-rated by researchers and supporters of pushing for its legalization;
- the notion that there is a safe use of illicit drugs for so called ‘recreational’ use
- the notion that illegal drugs should be normalised in Australia
- the legalisation or decriminalisation of known illicit drugs
‘The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing’
Edmund Burke 1729-1797
